Join our small, friendly team of volunteers …

At Abbeyfield, we regard volunteers as an important part of our team. It doesn’t matter how much or how little time you volunteer, it means a lot to help our charity.

There are many potential voluntary roles to suit different personalities and skill sets. We can guarantee that you will find life exciting and that every day will be different!

We welcome caring volunteers with some time to spare who would like to come and spend time enhancing the lives of our residents. This could involve chatting with residents, helping out with gardening at our residential home or supported living accommodation,  sharing your interests, skills, accompanying residents on short walks and befriending opportunities in the community.

We are always open to new ideas and suggestions to increase our range of activities.

We would also welcome your skills if you could join our small, friendly team as a volunteer trustee…

Abbeyfield Ferring is run by an Executive Committee consisting of Charity Trustees. Our volunteer Trustees come from many walks of life, but all share an interest in enhancing the quality of life for older people in a happy, supportive environment. They often enjoy the challenge of becoming involved in an organisation which is well integrated into the local community and interested in improving the lives of local older people.

If you would like to know more about becoming a trustee, please call 01903 240 313 for more details or download a description of the role here.
