Care Team Leader

for our Support at Home team – 35 hours per week to work flexibly over 7 days.

Care Team Leader rate is £11.50 per hour.  Mileage paid. Driving licence is essential and access to use your own car with business insurance.

Previous experience relevant to the role and leading a team is essential. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Registered Manager and the Rota and Care Lead to support a team of community support workers in accordance with the needs of our clients and ensuring a good quality person-centred service is delivered to our high standards.

Care Team Leader


Cook for the Old School House/Cornwell House

26 hours per week. Starting pay £10.00 p.h.

We are looking for a cook who can produce a range of home cooked, fresh and appetising meals to residents living at the Old School House, and at Cornwell House, in Ferring. The Old School House is a small extra care living unit for 11 older people and Cornwell House is a small residential care home in the village.

Our small residential home in Ferring currently has vacancies for Care Assistants. The role of Care Assistant is to meet the needs of our residents and you will work under the direction of the Senior Care Assistant to provide care with compassion and dignity at all times.

Community Carer

We have a vacancy for a Community Carer to join our Home Care team. The hours worked are flexible across the week, and will include morning, evening and weekend hours.

Rate of pay is between £10 per hour and £12 per hour. Mileage paid. Driving licence is essential and access to use your own car with business insurance.

Successful applicants should be friendly, honest and approachable with empathy and understanding of the needs of older people. They will need to be able to communicate clearly in English, follow care plans and make additional comments as required. A satisfactory DBS check is essential.

Community Carers


COULD YOU BE A TRUSTEE FOR ABBEYFIELD FERRING?

We are seeking new members for our Executive Committee who are Trustees for Abbeyfield Ferring.

The Trustees are responsible for making the over-arching decisions of Abbeyfield Ferring which include the running of Cornwell House, our residential care home; the Old School House, extra care living; home care and community services.

The post of Trustee is a voluntary one and would involve one board meeting a month, with a minimum expectation to attend 8 per year and some compliance meetings. There is no fundraising involved.

We are looking for trustees with previous experience in either social care, business, clinical, legal skills, HR, finance and ability to offer life skills with a balanced approach.

Our Trustees make decisions and choices based on common sense and best interests built on respect and the insight into the needs of our residents and customers.

We are looking for special people who have the ability to make a difference in our clients’ lives.

Our care roles workers are responsible for providing a high standard of personal care and will need to be able to empathise, listen and laugh with clients.
There will be plenty of time allocated to the clients.

You will be supported by a strong management team who care about you too!
We can offer you flexible working hours to suit your personal needs together with a competitive wage, weekend rates and holiday pay (after a qualifying period). Full training will be given.
